SCOPE OF SERVICES Services are comprehensive, responsive to family-identified needs, respectful of individual family values, and are culturally sensitive. Referrals can be made by anyone.

Early Learning Program
Services for families of children aged birth to three years with developmental delays or who are “at risk” of developing delays. Services are designed to assist families in supporting their child’s development. Services may include: speech, physical and occupational therapy, specialized instruction and service coordination. Individualized speech therapy is also available for children ages three and older.

Children’s Mental Health Services
Comprehensive mental health services for children and their families. These services provide a broad range of inter-ventions and supports to children and families in the home and community. Available services include; psychological assessments, individual, family or group counseling and intensive experiential skill building in group, individual and family settings.

Developmental Disabilities Services
Our services are designed to assist people with developmental disabilities and their families to achieve their life goals. Through partnerships with the individuals and families served, a customized plan for services is developed that is aimed at supporting each individual’s ability to live, work, and learn to their fullest potential. Services are provided wherever the person chooses to reside, socialize, recreate, or work.

Older Alaskans and Adult Resource Services (O.A.R.S.)
We provide individualized services for adults and seniors who require assistance to remain at home or in their community of choice. Individualized plans are designed to meet goals for living with dignity. Services may include; respite care, chore services, care coordination, transportation and personal care services.

Our services focus on bringing out the best in each person, and respecting the unique talents, interests, and values of both staff and the individuals we serve. We build on people’s strengths.

We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement and will strive to use best practice in our management, and all of the services we provide. If we try something and it doesn’t work we are willing to try another way.

We seek to maximize community participation of the people we serve. This means that through thoughtful planning, services are provided in the most natural and inclusive ways possible. Our services will be invisible to other community members and encourage independence.

We value professional integrity and respect and these values provide a foundation for how we treat our staff, peers, and the individuals we serve. This means assuming competence, practicing positive communication skills, confidentiality, honesty, and working toward mutual understanding.

We believe in the importance of collaboration and shared leadership and work to develop positive relationships, and partnerships with the individuals we serve, other organizations, their staff, and with each other. Leadership is encouraged at all levels, most importantly in the families and individuals we serve.
